CAPTRON commences operations at international software competence center
News 05/25/2021: With the subsidiary in Poznań, Poland, established in November 2020, CAPTRON fosters its strategic development.
On the one hand, it acts as a sales site, providing support to customers in Eastern Europe, the Baltic states, and Finland. On the other, it serves as a competence center for the development of software in the global CAPTRON company network. Headed by Marcin Koerpel, General Manager Poland, this location employs a team of specialists in the area of software development as well as staff in customer service and account management.
Establishing a company-owned dedicated software competence center is a logical step in the company’s strategic focus: providing solutions and software in addition to being a hardware manufacturer. In the future, CAPTRON will be in a position to provide customers with comprehensive digital solutions from a single source that closely link software and hardware.
“With our third location outside Germany, we are strengthening our international presence and our customer focus by addressing the markets in Eastern Europe, the Baltic states, and Finland specifically,” states Marcin Koerpel. “In addition, we can analyze and focus on the needs of the industry with our development projects here at the location. We are pleased to be able to play such a major role in driving innovations at CAPTRON forward.”
“This trend has been a long time coming, but in the past twelve months demand for digital solutions has increased significantly once again, especially in intralogistics and production. With our software competence center, we’ve set the course to expand our digital service portfolio and foster developments in our global corporate group. At the same time, knowledge transfer and our continuous development in the network will remain crucial to us — after all, that’s what digital transformation thrives on,” summarizes Philip Bellm.
