If the software detects a minimal deviation from the tool center point, a complete tool measurement is carried out in less than 30 seconds and the corrected tool coordinates are transferred directly to the controller.

Regular checks and automated recalibration enable a repeat accuracy of 0.01 mm for robot applications.

Calibration process with TCP software for Universal Robots

After each tool change, the cobot runs through a quick calibration routine to ensure that the tool has been inserted correctly. It only takes a few seconds to check whether the current TCP is within the tolerance range. The automatic recalibration avoids manual reteaching.

Minimal deviations in the tool data are automatically transferred to the robot and corrected. In the event of major changes, the cobot stops and the operator must confirm the update of the tool data.
