3. Collection of general information when visiting our website

When you access our website, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit information, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider, your IP address and similar. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

It is processed for the following purposes in particular:

We do not use your data to draw conclusions about your person. Information of this kind may be statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our website and the technology behind it.

The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the IP address, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed. The data entered in the contact form is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). By providing the contact form, we would like to make it easy for you to contact us. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and for possible follow-up questions. If data is transferred to a third country without suitable guarantees (see also 4.2), the transfer is also based on the consent of the data subject (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). If you contact us to request a quote, the data entered in the contact form will be processed to carry out pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).

4.2 Data transfer to third countries

The personal data will be transferred to the relevant CAPTRON subsidiary (4.3 Recipients) for further processing. The data subject consents to their personal data being transferred to the local company for this purpose, for which there is no adequacy decision and no other suitable guarantees to ensure adequate data protection. In the relevant country of the CAPTRON subsidiaries, there is no level of protection equivalent to that in the European Union and no specific guarantees have been provided to compensate for this deficit. There is also no special protection against access by government agencies. By giving their consent, the data subject is aware of this risk and agrees that their personal data may be transferred to the relevant CAPTRON subsidiary (4.3 Recipients).

4.3 Receiver

The recipients of the data are the respective responsible persons in the company, depending on the request. The data may also be sent to our processors. If your request is made from the relevant country, your request will be forwarded directly to our local companies. These companies are

4.4 Storage period

Data will be deleted no later than 6 months after processing the request. If there is a contractual relationship, we are subject to the statutory retention periods in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and delete your data after these periods have expired.

4.5 Provision prescribed or required

The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, we can only process your request if you provide us with your name, e-mail address and the reason for the request.


 

5. Newsletter

Your data will only be used to send you the newsletter you have subscribed to by e-mail. Your name is given so that we can address you personally in the newsletter and, if necessary, identify you if you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject. To receive the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your e-mail address. When you register to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by e-mail about circumstances that are relevant to the service or registration (e.g. changes to the newsletter offer or technical circumstances).
We require a valid e-mail address for effective registration. We use the “double opt-in” procedure to check that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address. For this purpose, we log the subscription to the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation email and the receipt of the requested reply. No further data is collected. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.

9.7 Profiling

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

13. Google Ads

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The company operating the Google Ads services is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. If you have reached our website via an ad placed by Google, Google Ads will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google.

If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. Our company does not contain any information from Google that could be used to identify the data subject.

13.3 Storage period and revocation of consent

These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this - for example, by using a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com”.

16.3 Receiver

Within the company, access to your data is granted to those departments that require it to fulfill contractual, legal and regulatory obligations and to safeguard legitimate interests.

16.4 Storage duration

If your application is rejected by us, it will be deleted six months after notification of the decision. If an employment relationship is established, the application documents will be stored for at least the period of employment.

The provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, it is not possible to process the application without this information.
