CALIS (Robust and suitable for railroads)

Description

Non-contact, continuous level measurement in harsh environmental conditions 

  • Developed for sand level measurement in rail vehicles (heavy and light rail) and proven in long-term tests. As a flexible limit switch or for continuous level measurement.
  • Complies with the current standards for use in rail (EN 50155, EN 50121, EN 45545 etc.)
  • Configurable for flexible use in harsh environments outside of rail applications
  • No regular, manual checking of the sandboxes by the train driver required and refilling as required possible
  • Level measurement without adjustment of the sensor to the material and container.
  • Distance measurement with optical ToF measuring method
  • Easy installation even in narrow spaces
    Installation is quick and easy, as no calibration is required without contact with the medium. The level probe also requires little space and is therefore suitable for complex, narrow tank geometries and installation situations.
  • Very long lifespan of more than 30 years
    The use of non-wearing electronics and corrosion-resistant materials means that no maintenance is required. The housing is made of stainless steel and the optics are fitted with a glass panel.
  • Space-saving and weather-resistant level measurement not only for sand
    All connections are completely sealed and the product is fully sealed so that no moisture can seep in.
  • The IO-link interface enables flexible configuration of the sensor on the control side
